Executive Chef, Mister Jiu's
Brandon Jew is the executive chef / owner of Mister Jiu's and Moongate Lounge and chef / partner of Mamahuhu. At Mister Jiu's, Brandon's contemporary Chinese-American restaurant in San Francisco's Chinatown, he combines the local, seasonal and organic bounty of the Bay Area together with classic Chinese techniques and flavors. Brandon's dedication to evolve and define Chinese American cuisine in the Bay Area and advocate for Chinese food's global recognition has earned him top honors at Mister Jiu's, including a James Beard nomination for Best Chef California 2018, 2020, 2021 and the winner for the honor in 2022, one Michelin star for 6 consecutive years running, Bon Appetit Hot 10 2017, and SF Magazine Chef of the Year. Brandon's cookbook, Mister Jiu's in Chinatown, is a 2022 winner of the James Beard Media Award in the Best Restaurant and Professional category. Brandon considers Judy Rodgers (Zuni Café), Michael Tusk (Quince) and his grandma, Ying Ying, to be his most influential mentors.

Garrett Marks
Bar Director, Mister Jiu's
Garrett Marks is Beverage Director of Mister Jiu's and Moongate Lounge. He has been with the team since the opening of Mister Jiu's in 2016, with a brief stint in LA in between, before coming back to run the beverage program across spaces. Garrett is known for his easy-drinking cocktails and incorporating ingredients found in SF's Chinatown market. At Mister Jiu's, the cocktails build on Chef Brandon Jew's tasting menu, while at Moongate Lounge, the cocktails are inspired by the Chinese Lunar Calendar, with each of the rotating cocktails representing the sun's motion and embracing the fruits, flowers, spices and spirits of the seasons.

Founding The Perfect Spot in 2007, sharing top dining and drink recommends globally, Virginia Miller is W. North America Academy Chair for The World's 50 Best Restaurants and has written for over 60 international publications, covering global dining, travel, spirits, cocktails, hotels and bars. She consults in dining, spirits, cocktails and drinks, co-creating Avion Cristalino tequila and ongoing spirits projects in Mexico, advising distilleries, creating drink menus for Michelin-starred restaurants (like Dominique Crenn's Golden Poppy in Paris) and honing food and drink menus. Virginia judges in many international dining, food, spirits, cocktails and bars competitions and awards. She has visited over 13,000 restaurants and even more top bars around the world.

With over 10 years of bar experience, William founded Viridian from his most recent position as bar director of Lazy Bear San Francisco. Shortly after refining his hospitality skills in the East Bay, William transitioned into the world of fine dining at establishments such as Michelin-recognized Rich Table, bringing with him a repertoire of signature cocktails that utilize the foraged and cultivated bounty of the Bay Area. William's passion for his hometown of Oakland and growing up Asian-American drives the flavors found in his cocktails. William's favorite pastimes include unique spirits, photography, gaming, manga, poker, fashion, things that go pew-pew, very fast cars, and high-powered vacuum cleaners.
